These tasks will help you ensure the planning session for the program is a valuable use of time.
  • Check strategic alignment - Ensure you are planning the right work by associating the work to the planning period and aligning features with higher-level work items (e.g. epics/themes) and/or objectives
  • Target features to teams/sprints - Verify backlog priority to ensure work is properly prioritized for the program. Determine which teams will work on which features.
  • Identify needs outside program - Coordinate dependencies with other teams, programs, and organizations to give your plan the highest chance of success
