Background

Changes are always happening, meaning sometimes customers might be surprised when something changes and they were not told about it. Producing things like release notes will provide customers and stakeholders visibility into what is changing.
Providing release notes to customers and stakeholders ahead of a release can help build trust in what is being delivered
In order to gather feedback on changes, we must first communicate that the changes are available

This procedure will show you how to use Confluence to provide release notes to build trust in what is being delivered.

Learn how to create release notes

In Confluence, access the space for the program
1. Click the Create button in the top row
2. In the right margin, type “communication” in the search box and select the Ecosystem Communications template
  1. Replace “Page Title” with “Release <#/Sequencing>”
3. Update the content of the page with details on the release
  1. Features being introduced
  2. Functionality being changed
  3. Defects being fixed
4. Click the Publish button
5. Click the Share button in the top right of the screen
  1. Add all appropriate team members / email groups / etc. to the text box and click the Share button to distribute the release notes
