This procedure will show you how to connect the work of a scrum team in Jira to the program in Jira Align.
Learn how to add scrum teams working in Jira to a program
To learn how to sync your data from Jira to Jira Align, please review the Jira integration guide
From the Administration menu, navigate to the Jira Management page
In the upper right corner, select the Connector that links to the instance of Jira where the team makes their work visible
From the Jira Boards tab
Click on the Add Board button
Enter the Jira Board ID from Jira (found in the URL)
Select the Jira Align Program that the team will be a part of
Enter the Jira Align Team name that should be mapped to the board [Note: it is most convenient to enter the new team name for the first time during this step (instead of creating the Team directly in advance of this mapping step), to let Jira Align create a new Team object in the background, under the Program.]
Leave Jira Sprints to Sync to the default value of “Only sprints created on board”
Click the Save button
From Jira Sprints tab
Select the Agile Team from the Boards dropdown
Verify the sprints sync with the anchor sprints used by the program
From the Team menu, navigate to the Teams page
Open the Team object for the newly-mapped Jira board
Verify the Type has been set to “Agile Team”
Verify that Program is <current program>
Click the Save and Close button
